Google Talk just got better with a cool new feature ‘Chatback’. It allows your blog or site visitors to chat with you directly without any hassle of signups or email requirements.
You need a Google account to use this feature, however yours reader don’t. When someone visit your site, they will see a badge showing your online status (available, busy, offline) and, if you’re available, they can just click and start chatting.

Gmail chat has new features of rich emoticons and group chat. Now you can splash those colorful smiles to express yourself while chatting.
Emoticons were introduced in Gtalk gadget few months ago and now are being introduced in Gmail chat.
For using new emoticons, check out a smiley face in the bottom right-hand corner of your chat window.
You can still use regular emoticon keyboard shortcuts, such as

Google Talk does not provide built-in functionality to allow you to control your idle status. There are times when you want to use messenger and be online, but without letting others know about this. Seems like impossible in Google talk, now made possible by gAlwaysIdle.

As gAlwaysIdle states, “your status is your business so it only makes sense that you should be able to control it”. After installing this small application, you get more options in the menu (see pic) that appears on right click on Google Talk icon. (more…)
Chat Rooms is very common feature of Yahoo Messenger, hey… but what about Google Talk. Well, it seems Google is not interested in adding new features or update Gtalk.
