Sabeer Bhatia is the man who made Hotmail, which was later sold to Microsoft in 1997 for around $400 million. After few projects that did not do well, he is back with Live Documents. Live Documents is an online and offline Office suite of programs similar to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Looks similar to Office Live Workspace or Google Docs or Zoho? So, what is different and new about this Live Documents? It promises to be easy to use and work with. Besides offer both Online and Offline editing capabilities and also support integration with MS Office installed on client computer via Live Documents desktop client.

Sabeer Bhatia has unveiled a product that will make both Google and Microsoft stand-up and take notice. Well, time will tell how successful this venture is. Personally, I still prefer to use offline means to work with docs. Live Documents offline options is surely a worth try, atleast for me!
