6th way and best so far (remebers user and pwd, each mail is handled separately in own window): use mozilla-labs’ prism.

I use the Firefox addon Gmail Manager to manage switch fairly quickly between logins. You can see my write up on it here:

That is for random switching between sessions. However, for constant back and forth I go with two browsers (typically Chrome and Firefox).

The holy grail is still having multiple sessions in one browser.
