Time to give a bump to your Internet Explorer browser, Microsoft has released all new version of Internet Explorer 8 [beta]. This version specially address the issue of sites breaking up when viewed in Internet Explorer.

In more technical and official words - This release contains some great advances in Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and layout, programming model, performance, reliability, usability and service integration. So, what is new and exciting about Internet Explorer8 ? Here goes…

1. Favorites Bar - The Links bar in IE7 that provided one click access to your favorite sites has been renamed as ‘Favorites Bar’. This makeover comes with compact placement of links and jazzy looks.

2. Automatic Crash Recovery -This feature of Windows Internet Explorer 8 will help in prevening loss of work and productivity in the unlikely event of the browser crashing or hanging.

3. WebSlices -It is a new feature for websites to connect to their users by subscribing to content directly within a webpage. WebSlices behave just like feeds where clients can subscribe to get updates and notify the user of changes.

Besides above features, IE8 also addresses security concerns with improved Phishing Filter in the form of ‘Safety Filter’. Major changes in IE8 looks very focused. Make sure you create a ‘Restore Point’ using system restore wizard for easy removal of IE8 - just in case you don’t like it (IE8 BETA).
