Twitter has loads of web based services making twitter more useful. However, there are only few desktop client for Twitter. We have already seen twhirl desktop client for twitter that allows you to connect to multiple twitter account, here comes TweetDeck.
TweetDeck is based on Adobe Air and aims to evolve the existing functionality of Twitter by taking an abundance of information i.e twitter feeds, and breaking it down into more manageable bite sized pieces.
You can split main feed (all tweets) that is saved to a local database into topics, groups or specific columns allowing a broader overview of tweets. Once you have made different columns, they get automatically updated allowing easier control and access of twitter updates
Since database is stored on your computer, you can also get involved in offline twittering. Tweets get updated as soon as you get online. Using this you can also dig through tweets even when twitter service is down.
