Olympics action will be shows on Youtube Olympics channel [www.youtube.com/beijing2008] which goes live on Aug 06. 2008. However, everyone cannot access this channel.
As pointed by ICC channel will be geo-blocked and only available in few territories. International Olympic Committee said, this channel will be available in 77 territories across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, including India, Republic of Korea, Nigeria and Indonesia.
This channel is not available to US users but they do have online alternative in the form on NBC Olympics. The IOC’s Channel will be accessible in territories where digital VOD rights have not been sold or have been acquired on a non-exclusive basis.
Youtube Olympics channel package will include highlights, news and daily clips of the competitions, available throughout the 17-day period of the Games.
Looks like Youtube staff will be busy taking off user uploaded Olympics videos and Youtube servers will be busy handling extra video requests. You can get busy downloading Olympics Wallpapers and Screensavers.
