Keyboard shortcuts for Gmail contacts


Managing huge list of Gmail contacts can done easily by using quick keyboard shortcuts. You can quickly navigate among different contacts in Gmail contact listing and also use keyboard shortcuts for easy editing, deletion of any contact in your Gmail account. Basic shortcuts for Gmail contacts

g then c Takes you to Contacts.

* then a Selects all contacts.

* then n Deselects all contacts.

Navigation shortcuts for Gmail contacts

k  Moves the cursor up in your contact list

j Moves the cursor down in your contact list

o Opens the contact with the cursor next to it.

u Refreshes your page and returns you to the contact list.

Editing shortcuts for Gmail contacts

e Removes selected contacts from the group currently being displayed.

x Checks and selects a contact so that you can change group membership or choose an action from the drop-down menu to apply to the contact.

ESC Removes the cursor from the current input

# Deletes a contact permanently

l Opens the groups button to group contacts

z Reverses your previous action, if possible (works for actions with an ‘undo’ link)

. Opens the “More actions” drop-down menu.
