Has your Firefox browser become heavy and loaded due lot of customization? You can start and launch Firefox in safe mode without any themes, plugins and settings. Safe mode of Firefox can be used to troubleshoot and identify issue with Firefox browser. You can selectively load themes, settings, plugins while launching Firefox in safe mode to isolate component causing the issue.
Launch Firefox in Safe Mode
1. Goto Start > Run.
2. In the run box, type following command
“C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe” -safe-mode
3. Click OK to launch Firefox in Safe Mode.
Alternatively, you can make shortcut to launch Firefox in safe mode everytime you double click its icon. Right click Firefox icon on the desktop or in menu and then click “Properties” option. Add “C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe” -safe-mode in target field and click Apply, OK.
