Want to stay connected and updated with Twitter from your instant messenger? Well, then check out Twitt’d that does same for you. You can receive and send updates via Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Jabber/Gtalk or Yahoo! Messenger.
Using this is very easy, just add Twitt’d to your favorite IM’s buddy list and say “hi” or “what’s up?” or whatever. You will be asked for your Twitter username, password and its all done.
From now on, Twitt’d will send you updates from people you are following and everything you send to Twitt’d will be posted to your Twitter timeline. There are a couple of commands too (just type them in, including slash, and hit enter):
- /updates - toggles update receiving from people you follow
- /changepassword NEWPASSWORDHERE - use this if you’ve changed your Twitter account password
- /forgetme - delete your Twitt’d account
