Know the basics of using your new iPad through proper turn ON and OFF routine. Like any other electronic device, proper turning ON and OFF keep it in a good functioning state. Incase your iPad is stuck and does not respond – you can reset the iPad to start afresh. Here are few basics of turning ON, OFF and resetting the iPad.
Turn ON the ipad
To turn on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Turn OFF the ipad
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears. Then slide the slider to completely turn offthe ipad device.
Reset iPad if not responding
If your iPad is stuck and is not responding, then you can reset it to recover to normal functioning. To reset, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
iPad still does not respond after reset
If iPad device does not respond properly after reset, then you can attempt to reset all settings. From the Home screen choose Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This will reset all settings, no data or media is lost from resetting.
Incase you want to start afresh, then you can reset and erase all settings, data on the iPad. From the Home screen choose choose General > Reset, then tap “Erase All Content and Settings.”
