It is very important to know which all processes are running at given point of time on your PC. So, how do you access current processes on your computer?

Well, it is easy by opening “Task Manager” [Right click on taskbar, click on task manager]. But task manager does not provide all the details. For more detailed juice you need utility “Process Explorer”.

You don’t even have to install this small utility of 1.6 MB - simply unzip, double click on EXE file and you get all the details. The Process Explorer display consists of two sub-windows.

The top window always shows a list of the currently active processes, including the names of their owning accounts, whereas the information displayed in the bottom window depends on the mode that Process Explorer is in.

You can also get detailed DLL file information associated to any process. You can even use powerful search feature to track specific files or processes. This free utility works with Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
