‘Call phone’ feature in Gmail allows you to call any phone number within Gmail inbox interface. Few users may not want to use this phone calling feature in Gmail. You can easily turn off and disable ‘call phone’ functionality in Gmail inbox in few simple steps. After this, you cannot make outbound calls from Gmail.
Turn Off ‘call phone’ feature in Gmail
1. Login into your Gmail account and click on ‘Settings’ link at top right.
2. Then click on ‘Chat’ tab on the settings page.
3. In the Google Voice section, click Disable outbound voice calling.
4. Click ‘Save Changes’ button at bottom to turn off and disable ‘call phone’ feature in Gmail.
