Majority of online users have Gmail and Google web accounts. Also, a good percentage of these users have more than 2 such web accounts. Ideally, you can login into only one Gmail or Google account at one time. Following ways can help you easily login and access multiple accounts on the same computer.
1. Official multiple ‘sign in’ Google feature
Now Google and Gmail accounts officially support login into multiple accounts simultaneously. Goto account settings to enable multiple sign-in feature for your Google and Gmail account. (updated on August 04, 2010)
2. Session feature in Internet Explorer 8
Internet Explorer 8 has ‘Session’ feature that allow login and use of multiple web accounts (including Gmail and Google accounts). Open IE8 window and login into Gmail account. Then goto File > New Session and login into different Gmail account. More details
3. Firefox plugin Cookie Swap
You can login into multiple Gmail and Google accounts (or any web mail / service account) in Firefox browser by using Cookie Swap plugin. It allows you to maintain and access multiple profiles at same time and toggle between them anytime. Read more
4. Google Account Multi-Login Script
If you are comfortable working with Greasemonkey script, then checkout Google Account Multi-Login script. It allows you to login and switch between multiple Gmail and Google accounts using drop down menu at top right. It works with majority of Google services except Google AdSense and AdWords. 5. Use multiple browsers
You can install and use multiple browsers to open multi web accounts. For example open one Gmail account in Internet Explorer and other Gmail account in Firefox browser and so on.
6. Use desktop Notifier program
There are number of desktop notifier programs that display updates from multiple web account. You can choose to see details of upto 2 Gmail accounts or details of upto 5 Google accounts using free notifier programs. Which is your favorite way to login into multiple Gmail and Google accounts?

6th way and best so far (remebers user and pwd, each mail is handled separately in own window): use mozilla-labs’ prism.
I use the Firefox addon Gmail Manager to manage switch fairly quickly between logins. You can see my write up on it here:

That is for random switching between sessions. However, for constant back and forth I go with two browsers (typically Chrome and Firefox).
The holy grail is still having multiple sessions in one browser.
