Using Stripe Generator 2.0 one can create neat and quick striped background. As website says, its ultimate tool for Web 2.0 designers, believe me they are right!

You can create any kind of background with different colors, background style and strip orientation in few seconds.

Here is the procedure:

1. Play with sliders and color pickers, until you obtain a super-cool stripe tile.
2. Press “Download” to save your creation.
3. Edit your css adding this line to the element you want to stripe: background-image: url(”image path”);
If you want to only repeat horizontally your tile (as in the case of tiles with gradient), you must add this line too: background-repeat: repeat-x; Unleash your personal style, experiment and download the tile. You can use it directly in your css file or as pattern in Photoshop!

With technological advancements in monitors/screens at offer, more people are using Wide screen monitors.

These monitor run at resolutions like 1400 x 1050 or 1680 x 1050 or 1920 x 1200. Finding wallpapers that fit such resolution is real task. Other alternative one may settle with is using a standard wallpaper and stretch it to fit the whole screen.

But this generally washes out the clarity and crispness. Here are excellent resources to download HQ wallpapers for widescreen monitors:

So you want to transfer files from one folder to another using Windows Explorer and you would know the limitations and pain of moving to and fro in the same window. Other alternative we choose is opening two Explorer Windows and then perform the transfer.

There is another alternative to this issue, a freeware FolderBox. It displays additional folders in the lower part of Explorer, which enables you to display the contents of two folders at once. This makes file transfer really easy and breeze. Also, you can add up to 5 tabs on this window with each tag specifying unique folder location. So, in single explorer window you can transfer files to 5 different locations without flipping the window around.

You can download this software here (scroll down link for FolderBox)

So you want to create reflection to an image but not so good at PhotoShop stuff, well there is an alternative: Reflection.js allows you to add reflections to images on your web pages. It uses unobtrusive javascript to keep your code clean.

It works in all the major browsers - Internet Explorer 5.5+, Mozilla FireFox 1.5+, Opera 9+ and Safari. On older browsers, it’ll degrade and your visitors won’t notice a thing. Best of all, it’s under 5KB.

Here are few cool examples:So, why use this javascript, here are few benefits (as per site)
- Fast and easy to implement. Just add class=”reflect” to the image.
- Don’t need to spend time in an image editor creating reflections.
- Works really well with forum avatars. Doesn’t require additional server work.
- It’s dead easy to change the opacity and height of the reflections.
- The reflections can respond to user action and above all its cool.

For more advanced stuff, like opacity changing with the user actions, there is reflect-o-matic tool. So get playing around and add a reflective logo… good idea right?
